Stocks to Watch Today #1: Vir Biotechnology, Inc. (NASDAQ: VIR)

Yesterday VIR spiked on news that the COVID-19 treatment it’s working on with GlaxoSmithKline (NYSE: GSK) proved to be effective.

The stock’s in the hot biotech sector, but it has overhead resistance from its run in January. Traders can watch for continued upside or a morning panic if it gaps down.

 

Stocks to Watch Today #2: CommScope Holding Company, Inc. (NASDAQ: COMM)

COMM had a technical breakout yesterday as tech stocks bounced back.

There’s no recent news on the company. Traders can watch for continued momentum following the breakout.

 

Stocks to Watch Today #3: Box, Inc. (NYSE: BOX)

BOX is another technical breakout play. Yesterday it broke out over $22.09 and held the breakout level throughout the day.

It has no news since it released earnings last week. For a higher-priced stock, it moved big move this week. Traders can watch for continued momentum following the breakout.

 

Stocks to Watch Today #4: Super League Gaming, Inc. (NASDAQ: SLGG)

SLGG is an e-sports content network. It’s a recent runner with a low float, so it has volatile price swings. Yesterday it announced it acquired Mobcrush, a live-streaming platform for gamers.

The stock traded high volume and got close to its recent highs but closed weak. Traders can watch for a morning panic dip buy opportunity.

 

Stocks to Watch Today #5: AVEO Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ: AVEO)

On Wednesday, AVEO announced the FDA approved its treatment for patients with relapsed kidney cancer.

The stock had a huge move following the news but retreated yesterday. Traders can watch for a morning panic dip buy opportunity.

 

Stocks to Watch Today #6: DraftKings Inc. (NASDAQ: DKNG)

DKNG is a sports entertainment, betting, and gaming company. It’s trading close to its all-time highs. Traders can watch for a breakout above $72.16.

 

Stocks to Watch Today #7: Entera Bio Ltd. (NASDAQ: ENTX)

ENTX is in the hot biotech sector. It announced positive Phase 2 clinical trial data yesterday in premarket. The stock had a huge gap up from $1.60 to $4.65. Then it had a giant short squeeze to $7.87 before retreating.

The stock is probably overextended. Traders can watch for a morning panic dip buy opportunity.

 

Stocks to Watch Today #8: Affimed N.V. (NASDAQ: AFMD)

AFMD is another hot biotech. Yesterday it announced its continuing enrollment in its drug trial.

The stock broke out to multi-year highs yesterday. Traders can watch for upside continuation.

 

Stocks to Watch Today #9: FinVolution Group (NYSE: FINV)

Yesterday, FINV announced fourth-quarter earnings. The company also announced a dividend of 17 cents per share starting in April.

The stock had a giant afternoon short squeeze. Traders can watch for continued upside momentum.

 

Stocks to Watch Today #10: Freeport-McMoRan Inc. (NYSE: FCX)

FCX is a copper mining company. Copper prices are rising to near 10-year highs and bringing copper stocks with it.

Traders can watch for continued upside to the recent highs of $39.10.

 

Stocks to Watch Today #11: Roblox Corporation (NYSE: RBLX)

RBLX is another gaming company. It was a hot IPO on Wednesday and made this watchlist yesterday.

It’s been reported that ARK Next Generation Internet ETF (NYSE: ARKW) took a position of over half a million shares on its first day of trading. The stock gapped up yesterday morning and is holding support around $70.

Traders can watch for more upside over $75. But if it breaks support, traders can watch for a panic dip buy opportunity.
