There’s still a ton of action in biotech penny stocks … But some OTC stocks are getting attention for all the wrong reasons…
The SEC recently halted trading in 15 OTC stocks partly due to “the absence of any publicly available news or recent information by these issuers; and certain social media accounts may be engaged in a coordinated attempt to artificially influence their share prices.”
(Read the full order here and the SEC’s press release here.)
Welcome to penny stocks! OTCs have always run on speculation, hype, and promotion. That’s what I love to take advantage of in my trading.
And it’s exactly what’s sparking runs in some of the biotech penny stocks on my watchlist.
It doesn’t mean you can’t trade them — but you must trade safely. Always cut losses quickly, adapt to market changes, and never hold and hope.
I’ve already adapted — I’m not holding any OTCs overnight right now. It’s not worth the risk for me.
Adapt or perish. Your choice.
Now, let’s get to the top biotech penny stocks list. I’ll show you what’s on my radar and why…

Now, let’s get to the top biotech penny stocks to watch this week…
Biotech Penny Stocks #1: Atossa Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ: ATOS)
On February 25, ATOS announced final results from its Phase 1 clinical study. The study tested the company’s nasal spray treatment for COVID-19.
I’ll watch for continued upside, but there’s a lot of overhead resistance.
Biotech Penny Stocks #2: Curative Biotechnology, Inc. (OTCPK: CTYX)
On Monday, CTYX had a big move on higher than average volume. The stock got hyped on Twitter after the company created a new website.
I’m watching CTYX for a breakout to new all-time highs over $0.2195.
Biotech Penny Stocks #3: Reve Technologies, Inc. (OTCPK: BSSP)
BSSP was running on Monday. It gained some attention on Twitter after its profile was verified on OTCMarkets.com.
There’s a ton of social media rumors and speculation about the company. It’s a sub-penny stock — not my favorite to trade. But it has a history of big moves … I’ll watch for one of my patterns and, ideally, a news catalyst.
Biotech Penny Stocks #4: AngioSoma, Inc. (OTCPK: SOAN)
SOAN was on my biotech watchlist last week. I was watching for a breakout over $0.052.
Since that breakout, the stock is holding near its new highs of $0.063. I’ll watch for another breakout. I’d prefer to see a catalyst and more volume.
(Disclaimer: Past performance is not indicative of future returns.)
Biotech Penny Stocks #5: Citius Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ: CTXR)
CTXR gapped up on Monday with no news. It was trading high volume. According to this article circulating on Twitter, the company will release Phase 3 results in the future.
How far in the future? Who knows. I don’t try to predict or guess.
I’ll watch for one of my patterns to develop. Any potential trade would be based on hype unless we see news of positive Phase 3 results.
Biotech Penny Stocks #6: Timber Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NYSE: TMBR)
There’s no recent news on this company. But on Monday it bounced from its recent lows with decent volume and closed near its highs.
I’ll watch for a continued bounce. Possibly to the recent highs around $3.
Biotech Penny Stocks #7: Cerecor Inc. (NASDAQ: CERC)
On Monday, CERC announced a new chief financial officer. The stock bounced off recent lows following the news.
Yesterday, it announced positive news from its Phase 2 clinical trials of its COVID-19 treatment. The stock gapped up in the morning but faded through the day with the overall markets.
I’ll watch for continued upside momentum.
Biotech Penny Stocks #8: Kalytera Therapeutics, Inc. (OTCPK: KALTF)
On Monday, KALTF announced it will focus all its resources on developing its COVID-19 vaccine. The stock traded higher than average volume following the news.
I’ll watch for the stock to retest its recent highs of 10 cents and possibly breakout.
Biotech Penny Stocks #9: Synthetic Biologics, Inc. (NYSE: SYN)
SYN is scheduled to report fourth quarter earnings on Thursday, March 4. I never try to predict earnings reports. I’ll watch for the market’s reaction before planning a trade.
Biotech Penny Stocks #10: Artelo Biosciences, Inc. (NASDAQ: ARTL)
ARTL announced positive preclinical data on February 17. On February 22, it filed this 13G form noting a beneficial change in ownership.
I’ll watch for continued upside if the stock can get over $2.30 resistance.

Conclusion
Biotech penny stocks are stocks of small, developmental companies. These companies are usually desperate for cash. They need it to continue developing products and for testing and trials. Trade them with caution…
They’re known to be extremely volatile. They can have huge price swings. One minute they’re flying high on positive news — the next they’re down due to bad trial results, side effects, or stock dilution.
If you’re prepared to take advantage of the price swings, these stocks can offer great trading opportunities…
