Today’s watchlist is a long one — I have a whopping 15 stocks to watch today.
OTC stocks are on fire! I’ve included five I’m watching for morning panic dip buy opportunities. I already traded a few of them. Read on to find out how I did.
There are so many hot stocks and sectors right now, it’s crazy. Marijuana, energy, mining, biotechs — there’s a little bit of everything on today’s stocks to watch list.
But don’t get caught up in the hype. Remember to make your trading plan and stick to it. You’ll never learn by just following picks. Preparation is key if you want to take advantage of this hot market. So, study up!
Here’s my list of top 15 stocks to watch today…
15 Stocks to Watch for Thursday, February 4, 2021
Remember, this is a watchlist, not a ‘must trade’ list. I’m not always right, and I don’t trade everything I watch. That’s why you should never blindly follow or buy anyone’s stock picks — even mine.
But there’s always something you can learn.
Watch out for patterns that fit your strategy. Always have a trading plan for every trade. Here are some resources to help you get started:

If you’ve been following my blog and lessons, you know I love to trade low-priced stocks. (To learn more about trading penny stocks, get my FREE guide here.)
But you’ll notice that not all of the stocks on this list are technically penny stocks. Even if I rarely trade higher-priced stocks, their movements can still affect stocks within my price range, so they’re worth watching.
Here are my 10 top stocks to watch today…
Stocks to Watch Today #1: Anavex Life Sciences Corp. (NASDAQ: AVXL)
AVXL is a biotech company that develops treatments for central nervous system diseases. Its lead product is in Phase 3 trials for the treatment of Alzheimer’s.
The stock is a sympathy play to Cassava Sciences, Inc. (NASDAQ: SAVA) which is soaring on its Alzheimer’s drug trial results. The fillings also show that an investment management company has recently purchased over 5% of the common stock of AVXL.
Wednesday the stock gapped up and spiked to $10.98. It’s at new multi-year highs above $7.70. IT closed near its highs so I’ll watch for it to continue its upward momentum.
Stocks to Watch Today #2: Clean Energy Fuels Corp. (NASDAQ: CLNE)
CLNE has been uptrending since November 2020. Energy stocks have seen even more volume and interest lately. On Wednesday, CLNE traded higher than average volume, had a breakout above $12.65, and made a high of $13.10.
The stock is trading at multi-year highs and I’ll watch for it to breakout above the $13.10 high.
Stocks to Watch Today #3: Tyme Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: TYME)
Tyme Technologies, Inc. is another hot biotech. On February 3, the company announced it was granted a patent for its proposed treatment methods for COVID-19.
The stock traded extremely high volume of 273 million shares and had a morning spike from $2.80 to almost $5 before retreating and trading in a range around $3.50–$4. I’ll watch for it to hold support and retest the $5 high.
Stocks to Watch Today #4: Zynerba Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ: ZYNE)
ZYNE is a marijuana stock that focuses on developing cannabinoid therapies. We’ve seen marijuana stocks running after some politicians have made comments about legislation changes. Legalization could be a big catalyst to make weed stocks a hot sector again.
Yesterday, the stock traded high volume and broke out above multi-month highs of $4.75 to a high of $5.28. It faded through the day and closed below the breakout level, but more comments from politicians could bring momentum back.
Stocks to Watch Today #5: SELLAS Life Sciences Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: SLS)
SLS has been trading higher the last two days. It’s another stock in the hot biotech sector.
It had huge moves in the past since it has a low float of under 15 million shares.
It had a red day yesterday, but I’ll watch for a bounce and go for singles.
Stocks to Watch Today #6: CPS Technologies Corporation (NASDAQ: CPSH)
CPSH is a former runner that just released news that it received a purchase order for the installation of armor plates on one U.S. Navy aircraft carrier.
Yesterday, the stock had a breakout over the high of $11.80 from January 14 on high volume. The stock also has a low float of just over 8 million shares so it could have a volatile move. I’ll watch for a gap up and continuation.
Stocks to Watch Today #7: OrganiGram Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: OGI)
OGI is another marijuana stock that’s running thanks to possible legislation changes. The company also recently announced a management change.
Yesterday the stock had a breakout over multi-month resistance of around $2.10. It traded high volume and closed near its highs so I’ll watch for a gap up and continuation today.
Stocks to Watch Today #8: American Resources Corporation (NASDAQ: AREC)
On February 2, AREC announced it has licensed patents for separating rare earth elements in a more environmentally friendly way.
The stock briefly broke above $5 resistance yesterday. I’ll watch for a gap up and breakout today. But this stock is very choppy— not my favorite to trade.
Stocks to Watch Today #9: SuperCom Ltd. (NASDAQ: SPCB)
SPCB is a cybersecurity company. The stock traded higher than average volume yesterday.
It briefly broke above multi-month resistance of $1.60. I’ll watch for it to retest that high and breakout. The stock also has a low float of around 10 million shares.
Stocks to Watch Today #10: Sundial Growers Inc. (NASDAQ: SNDL)
SNDL is another marijuana stock to watch and part of the Reddit attack on Wall Street.
It was also on my stocks to watch list on Tuesday.
I’ve been watching for a multi-day breakout over $1.36. It still hasn’t broken out so I’m still watching it. A breakout could create a giant short squeeze.
5 Top OTC Stocks to Watch Today
OTC stocks have been hot lately. Multiple Trading Challenge students reported incredible days this week thanks to some of these runners.*
OTC Stocks to Watch Today #1: Reliq Health Technologies Inc. (OTCPK: RQHTF)
On January 28, the company announced it signed its first contract to deploy its in-home Personal Emergency Response System. The stock had no reaction to the news until Tuesday when it traded high volume and had a breakout. The momentum continued yesterday.
I’ll watch for more upside but if it gaps down, I’ll watch for a morning panic dip buy opportunity.
OTC Stocks to Watch Today #2: Ilustrato Pictures International Inc. (OTCPK: ILUS)
I traded ILUS multiple times for profits of over $6,000 since it started running back on January 27.* I hope traders start seeing the potential of trading OTC penny stocks.
The stock’s getting a bit overextended now so I’ll watch for a morning panic dip buy.
(*Please note: My results are far from typical. Individual results will vary. Most traders lose money. I have the benefit of years of hard work, dedication, and experience. Trading is inherently risky. Do your due diligence and never risk more than you can afford to lose.)
OTC Stocks to Watch Today #3: Global Battery Metals Ltd. (OTCQB: REZZF)
REZZF is a mining stock, and mining and energy stocks have been hot.
This stock has had three big green days in a row so I’m only watching for a morning panic dip buy.
OTC Stocks to Watch Today #4: Greene Concepts, Inc. (OTCPK: INKW)
INKW is a beverage and bottling company. On February 1 the company announced its water had sold out on its first day on Amazon.com.
On February 2, the company announced it was finalizing details of a joint venture agreement with another company. The agreement would mean an expanded sales and marketing area for the company.
I’ve traded the stock three times for profits of $2,513.17.* The stock has retreated from its highs so I’m watching for a morning panic dip buy.
OTC Stocks to Watch Today #5: Viper Networks, Inc. (OTCPK: VPER)
VPER is a sketchy stock that’s been given the ‘stop sign’ label from OTCMarkets.com.
I traded it a few times for singles totaling $2,182.60 in profits.* My first trade was a dip buy to take advantage of the hype created from this tweet. This stock is overextended as well so I’m only watching for a morning panic.
How I Find Stocks to Trade
There’s no big secret behind how I find stocks to trade. I always tell students to look at the biggest percent gainers on StocksToTrade.

I use it every day to find the stocks that fit my strategy — like volatile penny stocks with a catalyst and high volume.
And I credit the StocksToTrade Breaking News Chat feature for a huge portion of my over $1.1 million in profits in 2020.* The guys who run this service crank out breaking news FAST.
